Had a really great time! Took 4 kids ages 3, 8,8,and 11 and all of them greatly enjoyed it. Highlight was definitely feeding the monkeys. It is definitely a farm type of feel. I do wish signage around the animals was a bit better (many were handwritten and faded to point it was hard to read). The volunteer Naturalist onsite was great. He answered lots of questions and was super knowledgable.
Super cool place to bring your kids, wife, date, whatever. Even open on Black Friday! The bird cave is the best part, check the schedule to see when it’s opening during your visit and make sure you get enough animal food to last the whole trip. Don’t miss the silver fox hidden past the zebra.
Nice place to take the grandkids. All sorts of critters & birds and friendly folks to tell you about all of the animals. We'll come back again!
Great place for kids. Petting animals and birds are the highlight here, for $5. Have a nice gift shop and snack area with little history. First half of the day is perfect for visit Bee City.
Think I had more fun than my Great-granddaugh with all the amazing animals up close and eating from your hand...best zoo I have ever had the privilege of visiting. The variety of primates and the aviary plus the zebra...do you know what it feels like to have a lemur reach out and take a cheerio (animal ones, not for humans), from the palm of your hand? Or have a zebra wrestle with you to take the whole cup of feed from you instead of a nibble? Next time I hope to make it to the BEE exhibit! Loved it! Lots of character and great staff to answer any questions and keep the human species under control.
